Whether it’s for your job, your sport, or any physical activities outside of work, listening to and preparing your body is important to prevent injuries and maintain peak physical performance.
The Self-Assessment Body Awareness Toolkit was an outcome of our Inclusion & Diversity initiatives and was developed in conjunction with a physiotherapist and based on a sports science model, to help our “Industrial Athletes” maintain their peak physical performance.
The Toolkit has a primary assessment movement to identify areas of your body that may be sore, weak, stiff or cause you discomfort. If you experience any of these symptoms you can access the secondary assessment for strategies to target specific areas of concern.
Anyone can access this Toolkit to help them with sport, or activities outside of work as well.
It is important to remember if you have any pain, any pre-existing injuries, or simply don’t feel comfortable performing any part of the program, that you seek advice from a health professional.
