Work experience
SA Power Networks offers lots of exciting work experience opportunities across many areas of our business, including:
- Engineering
- Electrical trade
- Powerlines trade
- Work Health and Safety
- IT (Innovation and Technology)
Work experience typically lasts from 1 to 2 weeks. Most opportunities are in metropolitan locations, but trade positions are also available in regional areas.
Who can apply?
We encourage applications from anyone who is 16 years or over and who is currently studying or has finished Year 11 English and Maths (or equivalent post-secondary training).
Please note the Engineering Work Experience program is aimed at school students due to the engineering division offering a variety of pathway programs specific for University students.

How do I apply?
If you’d like to request a work experience placement with SA Power Networks, please provide your preferred dates and type of work experience required when you apply (allow at least six weeks from your date of application, to give us time to explore options for you).
