Notification of Night Works

Victor Harbor substation works

Date: 2 - 3 April 2023

What we’re doing

We are undertaking night work to repair equipment within our Victor Harbor substation to ensure we deliver a safe and reliable power supply to customers in the area. See our media release here

How this affects you

Power outage

For the safety of our crews, we need to interrupt the power which will affect around 13,000 customers in Victor Harbor and surrounds overnight between 10pm Sunday 2 April and 6am Monday 3 April 2023 (see map below).

We acknowledge the outage is extensive, so we have planned this to occur at a time least disruptive to residents and businesses and in a period outside the major tourism peaks.

Generators

We do not provide generators or compensate customers for the cost of generation during planned maintenance. This would add considerable cost to customers through their electricity bills. If you do require power supply during the interruption, we recommend speaking with a generator specialist or electrician.

Do you have permanent back up generation?

Please let us know if you have permanent backup generation installed by registering your permanent generation

We appreciate your co-operation and patience during this important work.
