Our vision is to lead the transformation of energy services for a sustainable future, and we know we are in a unique position to do this.

Our Sustainability Strategy outlines how we can achieve our goal of empowering a prosperous, equitable, low carbon and environmentally responsible future for South Australia.

The Strategy was developed in consultation with our Community Advisory Board (CAB) and other stakeholders.  The clear feedback we received from our customers, employees and others was that we need to capitalise on our unique role in South Australia to ramp up our action and ambition with respect to the ‘triple bottom line’ – People, Planet and Prosperity.

Four key areas of focus:

Our Sustainability Strategy has the following four key areas of focus:

  • Transforming energy – SA is leading the world in the transition to renewable energy.  We believe we can leverage our unique circumstances to create a future where energy is clean, reliable and affordable.
  • Building a diverse, high performance workforce – we want to build a future-ready, diverse and inclusive workforce that embraces new capabilities.
  • Conserving the environment – we have committed to net zero emissions across our operations by 2035, and will continue to enhance our contribution to the circular economy and preservation of nature and biodiversity.
  • Connecting and protecting communities – we know we are more than just an essential service and we want to maximise the social benefits of our activities and services, and contribute to a fair and just energy transition.
