Cadet Program
Our Cadet Program aims to recruit 10 Cadet Network Project Officers (NPOs) to start in their new positions in January 2023.
Applications for the Cadet Program are open from 5 September until 25 September 2022.
The Program is run across different Adelaide metropolitan locations. Throughout the program, each cadet will be able to experience at least 4 locations with 6 monthly rotations.
For more information on the role, and to apply, visit our Current Vacancies page during the application period.
Network Project Officers (NPOs)
The positions are unique because NPOs will develop skills across more than one field, including project management, customer service and electrical engineering.
NPOs are responsible for leading new connections, relocations and extensions of the electrical distribution network. They also liaise with both external customers and internal stakeholders to carry out scoping and estimating functions that ensure the reliability of the distribution network.
Career pathways
The Cadet Program opens up several opportunities and development pathways which are based on Electrical Engineering Principles and/or Project Management. Following successful completion of the program, cadets will be suitable for various positions including Network Project Officer and Powerline Design roles as a minimum.
