New Network Visualisation Portal makes accessing SA Power Networks' grid capacity information easier.

Customers can now access a visual indication of network capacity for importing and exporting to the grid through SA Power Networks new Network Visualisation Portal.

The Network Visualisation Portal has been developed as the “go to” place for key distribution network information, providing a geospatial view of our network infrastructure including zone substation sites, high voltage overhead and underground lines, demand forecasts, generation forecasts, headroom/hosting capacity, and system strength indication.

This new interface will provide updates on network capacity for a given location. Customers will readily see where the network can accommodate more load or generator exports. This new tool will provide significant benefit particular to our larger customers.

This initial release provides a high-level estimate of network capacity. We will continue to refine and increase the accuracy to better inform customers.

The Network Visualisation Portal is accessible with a simple registration and is available to all customers.
