Restoration work ongoing following extreme weather
We've mobilised additional crews and are working to restore power after widespread lightning activity around South Australia on Monday night.
We recorded around 46,000 lightning strikes, mostly concentrated in the Lower South East. The storm caused damage across our network, leading to power outages for around 31,000 homes and businesses.
Our crews have been working through the night, where it was safe to do so, and we’ve made solid progress in getting power back on. We're also mobilising additional crews to focus on restoring power in response to numerous small, widespread outage reports.
