SA Power Networks has again been named among Australia's top graduate employers
SA Power Networks has proudly secured a top ten position, ranked 8th among the list of Australia's top graduate employers (medium size employer category) as determined by graduates themselves.
This is an improvement from the previous year, with SA Power Networks standing tall as the highest-ranked South Australian organisation in this category.
The Top Graduate Employer rankings are the definitive guide to the best places to work for new graduates entering the workforce. The rankings are determined entirely from survey feedback gathered from graduates who have spent up to 12 months working with these organisations. The rankings are not based on popularity or money spent on marketing.
The Top Graduate Employers list aims to recognise those organisations that provide the most positive experience for their new graduates as determined by the graduates themselves.
About SA Power Networks
SA Power Networks manages the distribution network that delivers electricity to about 1.7 million South Australians and is spearheading South Australia’s rapid transition to a net-100% renewable energy system.
The business is nationally recognised for its pioneering efforts in adapting the network to accommodate customer investments in solar panels, batteries, and electric vehicles. Its groundbreaking initiatives serve as blueprints for other states grappling with similar energy challenges, as South Australia leads the global charge toward renewable energy sustainability.

About the Top Graduate Employers List
The Top Graduate Employers list aims to recognise those organisations that provide the most positive experience for their new graduates as determined by the graduates themselves.
The Top Graduate Employers list was created from a survey of just over 4000 graduates conducted in late 2023. The survey participants are all current graduates and have up to 12 months of full-time experience with their organisation. They are asked to rate their employer on around 25 different categories including:
- Orientation or induction program
- Training and development program
- Quality of work
- Career progression
- Support and guidance from supervisor, manager and HR
- Access to mentoring and networking
- Compensation and benefits
- Work/life balance
- The opportunity for community involvement
- Company culture
All the individual responses from graduates at a particular employer are combined and used to determine an overall average rating for that organisation. This same process is followed for each separate employer to produce an overall average rating for each organisation based on the responses of its own graduates. This year, employers have been ranked in one of three lists of 25 based on their intake size, enabling improved comparability and usability. The intake sizes are small (intake of less than 20), medium (intake of between 21-70) and large (intake of more than 71). A total of 75 employers are featured across these three lists.
The overall average ratings are grouped by intake size and then compared and ranked to produce three lists being:
- Top 25 Graduate Employers (Small 0-20 graduate intake)
- Top 25 Graduate Employers (Medium 21-70 graduate intake)
- Top 25 Graduate Employers (Large 71+graduate intake)
