Grand Junction Road power restoration
We are working to restore power after a truck collided with a transmission pole on Grand Junction Road, causing a power outage to customers in the Blair Athol and Gepps Cross area.
9.40am
SA Power Networks is currently repairing significant damage to a sub-transmission (66kV) and distribution (11kV) line, resulting from a truck colliding with a Stobie pole on Grand Junction Road, Gepps Cross in the early hours of the morning.
A crane is currently at the collision site, removing the damaged pole, with a new pole currently being prepared for the site.
Due to the significance of the damage and works required, SA Power Networks is expecting that Grand Junction Road (between Prospect Road and Main North Road) will be closed for westbound traffic until tomorrow morning. Crews are aiming to progress repairs today, such that eastbound traffic can be opened up today.
34 customers are currently without power as a result of the damage. Crews are working to restore power by late tonight, but it is possible that outages will continue until tomorrow. SA Power Networks will continue to communicate updates to those customers.
