Women in Cyber Security Award
Cyber Security Analyst Eve Black's passion and perseverance for cyber has seen them win a prestigious award at the Australian Women in Security Awards.
The Australian Women in Security Awards recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of women and non-binary individuals in the IT and cyber security sectors.
Eve said they were extremely thankful for the award, adding: ”This award means a lot to me, as my efforts and hard work have been recognised by my peers and community. It has given me a fantastic confidence boost.”
Best Collaborator Award
Cyber Security Specialist Nikil Kathiravan has won the Best Collaborator Award at the global 2024 SOC Analyst Appreciation Day Awards.
The SOC Analyst Appreciation Day Awards were set up to recognise security operations centre (SOC) analysts as the unsung heroes of their organisation.
Nikil said: “Winning the Best Collaborator Award feels incredible. It’s a moment of immense pride and gratitude. It’s also motivating knowing that our hard work and dedication have been acknowledged, and it inspires me to continue fostering that collaborative spirit in future projects.”
Head of Cyber Security’s leadership recognised
Head of Cyber Security and IT Resilience Nathan Morelli’s leadership has been recognised at two prestigious industry awards – the CSO30 Australia Awards and the iTnews Benchmark Awards, Security.
The inaugural iTnews Benchmark Awards, Security, were held in Sydney on Wednesday 16 October, with Nathan receiving Highly Commended in the Energy category. The awards recognise leadership in cyber security by awarding leadership in both their security teams and in driving effective cyber programs across their business.
The CSO30 Australia Awards were held in Sydney on Thursday 17 October, with Nathan being recognised as a 2024 honouree. The awards celebrate the leading individuals and organisations delivering cyber security initiatives that have changed the way the business is protected. Nominees are judged on how they collaborate with and influence their stakeholders to improve cyber security and resilience within the enterprise, along with their contribution to the wider cyber security community.
Nathan said: “It’s very humbling to be recognised by my peers in this way, especially as I was up against some stiff competition.”
