SA Power Networks is enhancing its online portal and inviting industry stakeholders to test and shape the future of connection services.

SA Power Networks continues to enhance our online portal, expanding our capabilities to provide a more seamless and efficient experience for managing connection services. Originally developed to support solar installations, the portal is being reimagined to cater to a broader audience, including electricians, retailers, and customers.

Progress update

We have made significant progress behind the scenes as we work to refine the portal and ensure it meets industry needs. This includes internal testing and functionality enhancements, such as real-time job tracking, personalised notifications, and streamlined scheduling. Our immediate focus is on delivering key services early in the new year, including New Service Provision, Permanent Disconnections, and Network Access Permits.

We remain focused on delivering a user-friendly platform that simplifies connection service processes and empowers stakeholders to take greater control of their interactions with SA Power Networks. As part of this work, the portal will eventually support services such as alterations, temporary disconnections, unmetered supplies, and more.

Join the testing phase

We’re inviting industry stakeholders to participate in testing the new portal before its official launch. This is your opportunity to explore a test version of the system, provide valuable feedback, and help shape the final product. Testing is flexible and can be done at your convenience, using your own device.

Key details about testing:

Testing environment: During this phase, the test environment is separate from the production system. You’ll still need to use REX for actual work submissions. Please use test or sample data only when exploring the portal.

Visibility of existing requests: Existing REX requests will not appear in the portal during testing, but you can trial new submissions and provide feedback on the experience.

Feedback process: Your input is essential to identifying potential improvements and ensuring the portal aligns with industry expectations. Constructive feedback, including specific suggestions and screenshots, will help us improve the system.

How to get involved

If you’re interested in participating, please email us at portalfeedback@sapowernetworks.com.au. Include your name, organisation (if applicable), and your preferred contact method (email or phone). We’ll provide you with the details you need to get started.

While not all feedback can be implemented immediately, we are committed to continuous improvement, and your input may inform future updates.

What’s next

As we continue testing and refining the portal, we’ll share updates over the coming months, including launch dates and support resources to help you transition smoothly. We encourage you to stay updated by visiting our website and signing up for The Fuse industry newsletter.
