Last week marked a significant moment for SA Power Networks as we welcomed an incredible cohort of new apprentices, cadets, and graduates into our Pathway Programs. With a total of 38 fresh faces stepping into their careers, we kicked off the year with enthusiasm, energy, and a strong sense of purpose.

Our Pathway Programs are designed to give Apprentices, Graduates, Cadet Project Officers, and Vacation Program students real-world experience, helping them build strong foundations for their careers in the energy industry. 

This week marks a significant milestone, with a record-breaking 38 new starters across three programs—all beginning within the same week. It’s a great reminder of how committed we are to investing in the next generation of skilled professionals and shaping the future of energy in South Australia.

In their first week, our newest recruits have been busy getting stuck into inductions, hands-on training, and meeting experienced mentors who’ll help guide them along the way. Whether they’re out in the field, in the office, or working on cutting-edge energy solutions, every single person plays a vital role in keeping the lights on for our communities. 

But they’re also doing more than that—they’re part of a team that’s leading the transition to a smarter, more sustainable energy future. From integrating renewables to improving energy efficiency and exploring innovative technologies, these future leaders will play a key role in shaping the way we generate, distribute, and use power in years to come.
