Unclaimed money

What is unclaimed money?

In accordance with the Unclaimed Money Act 2021 SA, SA Power Networks maintains a register of monies for which the owner cannot be found. This register may include money owed to customers, suppliers or other stakeholders.

All unclaimed monies held by SA Power Networks which have not been claimed within 7 years are required to be transferred to the South Australian Department of Treasury and Finance (Department). Once this transfer has occurred, any claims for this money must be submitted directly to the Department (for more information, please refer to Search for unclaimed money | Department of Treasury and Finance). After unclaimed money has been transferred to the Department, the money will no longer be included on SA Power Networks’ unclaimed money register.
